Sorry guys, Really hope they dont mind. Its off the Youtube so Quality isn’t the best. This is an amazing piece and I’d love to learn it (You can count on me linking to the score if/when S&S release it. You can catch the YouTube for this add here You can download the Piece here: moccona-cinderella-aka-quest-commercial1.mp3 (Caution: This playes funny in Windows media player) - I suggest VLC media Player. Peace Out! Alright, fatal exception is a little bit of an exaggeration. But I have realized that there is a fatal flaw with this project. VB.net IS TOO SLOW! Ok so I’m having another crack at building a Multidimensional Data Engine. This time I’m starting with the ETL tool and working up from there. I’ve started in VB.net so I can make the most of the Threading system and easy GUI building features. I’ve spent one night so far and progress is already promising, We can connect to any ODBC datasource and set behaviour’s of a Queries resulting fields. Element Groups and Filtering can initially be made from an unlimited number of Expressions per Field. Attributes can be retrieved from lookup tables or from other Fields in the initial Query. So most of you would have seen that the new .net server is amazingly fast, but I must say I still hate coding in it and the performance upgrade is only due to the multi threading nature. Some issues I had/am Having: I’m not sure about you but for me Explosm has now replaced Dilbert in my RSS feed list. We’ll I’ve got a little bit of interesting news for you all. I recently had a small fascination with Pokemon Crater (What Formerly Was) and was asking around our Forums a little bit. Anyway after very little thought I decided to Re-Build Pokemon Crater. I decided that I would start by trying to Buy the original domain. When navigating there it would take the user to a Parked domain page. So I thought it Opportune to grab while I can. I found the Domain Broker site and on my second attempt (and second payment of $60USD) to rouse a broker to look into it (I spelt it wrong first time) I still had no response… Funnily enough 3 hours later I went to www.pokemoncrater.com again and what do you know… I was redirected to http://www.nintendo.com/countryselector! I’m guessing that Nintendo realized that suing Arron would cause some controversy so they decided to pay him to keep it quiet and take the wrap for it himself. Either that or Arron is sick of people trying to apply for the Domain. Anyway I will be launching a simelar game to what Crater was on the Domain www.pokemonbattlearena.net at present we are not accepting new users. Please visit and sign up for our forum in the mean time. (That way you can help determine how the game will work and have your say) Morning Everyone, Just thought I’d give you a little update on Progress over the last week. |
